Grammie Grigson had found Clasey eating on her plants out
in the garden so she gently picked her up and put her in a little shoebox house
with some leaves and water. Clasey liked her new surroundings and she especially
liked Miss Bella and her sister, Miss Emma, taking care of her. She liked Mommy
and Daddy Grigson, too.
Life was good but unfortunately, life was too short.
It was a sad day in the Grigson household when Miss Bella
found Clasey rolled over on her back with all her little feet up in the air.
She had passed on and there was nothing that could be done except to have a
fine funeral.
Miss Bella had just attended Uncle Felix’s funeral down
in Baton Rouge so she knew exactly how to give Clasey a fond farewell.
Miss Emma made up the invitations and the funeral
commenced on a lovely Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2011 in their big back yard.
They wrapped Clasey in a plastic casket and cradled her in the hands of the
lady statue that stood guard under the trees. It was a lovely ceremony . . . a
few tears, a few prayers, and kleenex was needed by all.
The invitation read:

sarts a 6:30
