CORE VALUES

BY RON DRISCOLL

My pastor preached yesterday about the core values of the church. I thought they were very good. Here they are:

1.      Authority of Scriptures - truth essential for the transformation of life.
2.      Service - every believer has God given gifts and abilities to serve God and others.
3.      Integrity - critical value of godly character and personal integrity at all levels.
4.      Relationship more than Rules - motivation should be love for God and love for people; not tradition, rules, or regulations.
5.      Spiritual growth - full devotion to Christ and relationships with other believers are the norm.
6.     Teamwork - church should operate as a loving, unified community of servants.
7.     Flexibility - we encourage creativity and innovations in ministry.
8.     Optimism - a positive approach promotes acceptance and inspires excellence.
9.      Excellence - honors God and inspires people; serve wholeheartedly.
10.  Encouragement - build up and encourage those around us.
11.  People - all people matter to God.
