Josephine loved the open road just to see where God would take her. She was forever getting mixed up in local affairs on her many vacations--bird watching, musical concerts, clothes buying, gift shopping, but this puppy thing took the cake. She saw the pitiful little thing on the side of the road. He looked lost and hungry. When she reached down to give him a cookie, he ate right out of her hand. There would be a scandal with hubby for sure if she brought another stray home. Oh, well, he was just too pitiful and too perfect to leave behind and she knew how to fake a few tears“Come here, boy. Let’s put a big red bow on you and take you home to Papa.”  J
